Anna King, photographer and owner of Studio Lux Portraits 

 

Hi! My name is Anna King and I am a women's empowerment photographer.

​

​I was born and raised in Croatia, where I was a professional portrait photographer for more than 9 years.  I was born to an Italian father and Croatian mother, so I speak Croatian, Italian and English.

​

In 2021 I met my now husband when he was in Croatia on vacation and long story short, 2 years after that we reconnected, fell in love and now we live in Naples, Florida (since 2024).

​

I love photography because I can tell stories and convey a message with it, and because it taught me to love and accept myself.

​

Existing in photos is a powerful tool of self-acceptance and for me to be able to give that to others, I had to go through it myself first. I used to be the kid literally running away from the camera because I didn’t like myself, but it all changed the more I photographed myself.

 

Random facts about me:

- I am lover of coffee (macchiato with plant-based milk, please!), flowers, animals and good food.

- I am a morning person, but I usually get ready 10min before I need to leave the house.

- I am still insecure in front of the camera (like some of you), but I love to exist in photos.

- I have a rbf (resting bi*** face) and definitely not a poker face.

- I am an introverted extrovert.

- I am a fur mom to a sweet but spoiled diva, a Catahoula dog named Sailor.
